Job Type: Full Time Pay $15.00 per hour Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old Reports to: Executive Housekeeper As a Laundry Worker, you will operate industrial laundry machinery, fold and sort linens and towels. Responsibilities include: Sort dried articles according to identification number or type, Fold and place items in appropriate storage bins. Sort and count articles to verify quantities on laundry lists. Pre-treat stains with special solutions using safety precautions and proper procedures. Check and clean all filters on washers and driers every two hours. Qualifications KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Personal Skills Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors. Ability to scrupulously follow all Driftwood and hotel policies and procedures. Attend required meetings. Projects and assignments are completed thoroughly, professionally, and with care. Adjusts to high-pressure conditions and is open to change. Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development. Conducts him\herself, acts and dresses professionally at all times. Understands and communicates the Driftwood Mission. Expresses ideas and conveys information clearly, effectively, and professionally. Actively listens to others. Works to resolve disagreements and is respectful of peers and co-workers. Physical Requirements Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time, up to a 10-hour shift Average lifting of 20 to 50 pounds. Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
